Notes is a print publication released alongside each Never Run collection.
I designed the layout to reflect the brand’s bold, rave-inspired take on running culture — applying existing visual elements like experimental logotypes, intense digital colour palettes, and layered imagery to create a zine that feels fast, raw, and physical. Each issue features guest writers, behind-the-scenes content, and previews of what’s to come.

Notes is a print publication released with each collection from Never Run, a Melbourne-based brand blending performance running gear with a lifestyle edge.
I was responsible for designing the layout of the zine, working closely with the brand’s creative direction to ensure the final piece felt true to NEVER’s world — a raw, experimental take on running culture, more aligned with the energy of a warehouse rave than traditional athletic branding.
While I didn’t create the brand identity, I translated its core elements — brutalist logotype treatments, vibrant digital-leaning colour palettes, and scientific-inspired image styles — into print. I built a flexible grid system that allowed for dynamic pacing, used pared-back typography to let content lead, and applied movement-focused design to echo the brand’s themes of energy and disruption.
Notes features contributions from guest writers, behind-the-scenes insight into the development of Never, and a glimpse at what’s next — brought together in a print format that feels tactile, fast-moving, and unmistakably NEVER.
