Vivarium

A refreshed visual identity for the Vivarium Festival, exploring the intersection of nature and technology through a blend of organic imagery and pixel-based digital design. The concept combines natural forms—like leaves and waves—with pixel art to express the festival's focus on the convergence of the organic and the artificial.

Vivarium Festival

The Vivarium Festival is a multidisciplinary event celebrating the complex intersection between nature and technology through concerts, performances, exhibitions, and conversations. To reflect this dynamic theme, I developed a new visual identity that reimagines the festival’s aesthetic by fusing organic forms with digital expression.

Drawing inspiration from natural elements—such as leaves, flowers, and waves—I translated these forms into a pixelated visual language that symbolizes digitalization and technological transformation. Pixels are not only a foundational element in the logo but are also used throughout the brand system, referencing pixel art as a hallmark of digital creativity.

Photography of real natural elements is layered with this pixel-based graphic treatment, creating a visual dialogue between the natural and the artificial. The result is a cohesive, modern identity that encapsulates the festival’s mission: to explore and challenge the boundaries between the organic and the technological in contemporary culture.
